Neighbors sue county

North Iredell Neighbors for Rural Life and 23 other plaintiffs filed a civil complaint and petition Wednesday seeking to nullify the Iredell County Commission’s decision to rezone eight acres of McLain Farms, which cleared the way for the construction of a controversial biodiesel plant.

I think the commissioners made a big mistake. They voted in favor of a few and ignored the majority. Why should this plant be in anyone's backyard?

Our government officials need to abide by the law and the decisions they make should protect people, first their safety then consideration of other factors. Money and deep pockets should not influence these decisions.
